Star Trek: Beyond starts when the U.S.S Enterprise is on its five-year mission to explore space and its many planets. The crew is a bit tired to space exploration. After they have visited starbase Yorktown, the ship is attacked by a mysterious enemy. After this attack, Captain Kirk swores to save his crew.

the heart and soul of the movie is of course Kirk and Spock. Quinto and Pine bring so much warmth to their characters.
